    2021 Sabre 3 Raffle Drawing

    The Sabre3 raffle was a great success! Ya’ll purchased 957 tickets. That’s significantly UP from last year’s total of 750. JFTR received donations from all over the world. We greatly appreciate your support and the Skydiving Community’s support as a whole! This year’s winner is Floryan. He has has 170 jumps, lives in Romania, and is incredibly happy to win.     11th Annual Check Presentation Event

    On December 16, 2020, Marian and Jump for The Rose BOD presented The Rose, Houston with their 11th fundraising check.  This year the team and sponsors donated $34,000!  Not bad for a year where the entire world was held hostage by a pandemic! Starting in 2010 Marian began on her journey to pay back The Rose for saving her life. As of this check, Marian and team have donated $277,000 to this remarkable non profit breast cancer clinic!       I wanted to share this wonderful Thank-You note from The Rose. I can not thank each and everyone of you enough for your support and generosity.     10th Annual Check Presentation: The Rose

    Jump For The Rose made it’s 10th annual check presentation to The Rose at their Christmas party on December 18, 2019. The donation this year was $15,000.00 for a grand total of $243,000.00 raised to date! 120 plus employees attended and got to hear first hand Marian’s story of how Jump For The Rose started. JFTR Board members Ginger Snowden, Gwen Murillo, and Marian’s “Bestie” Barbara McGraw were there, as well.     We are excited to join with POPS – USA this year as they hold their event POPS Nationals October 2-6 2019! This is the same weekend as Jump for The Rose’s Pinkfest boogie at Skydive Spaceland Houston! From all of us at JFTE, we are looking forward to meeting you Guido TopPop!! The first link is an in-depth guide about navigating the financial shoals of treating cancer. The guide helps patients understand how to protect themselves financially.     A DAY IN AUSTIN: CPRIT LOBBYING

    My day in Austin at the capitol lobbying for CPRIT was a new experience for me. I’ve never done that sort of work before. It was tiring and exhilarating all at the same time. Kind of like skydiving!      CPRIT stands for Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas. Back in 2007 it was a proposition voted into being by the people of Texas to provide 3 BILLION dollars over a period of 10 years to fund cancer research and prevention.     Marian, The Rose, & CPRIT

    Marian, founder of Jump for The Rose, will travel to Austin, Texas along with advocates of The Rose during early March in support of Cancer Prevention and Research Institute in Texas (CPRIT). Texas state legislature must authorize a fully funded CPRIT extension for the next 10 years.  Texas voters must, then approve, the authorization.
